The effect of post deposition high temperature treatment of pyrolytic graphite on the room temperature flexural strength was studied for HTT between 2500 and 2700ยฐC and residence time up to four hours. Large reductions in the scatter of flexural strength values were observed. Little effect on the flexural strength, itself, was noted.
