✦ Synopsis

The characteristics of the dielectric resonator antenna top loaded by a circular conducting disk with different diameters is studied experimentally. It is found that antenna parameters such as the resonant frequency, the input impedance, and the far-field radiation pattern, are affected tremendously by the conducting disk. Therefore one can tune the antenna parameters by ¨arying the disk size.
