✦ Synopsis
Effect of oxygen concentration on superconducting properties of Ba2YCu30 7 x has been investigated by means of electrical resistivity and magnetization measurements using oxygen-controlled samples. Superconducting transition temperatures decrease linearly with decreasing oxygen concentration below 7 -x = 6.75 and disappear at 7 -x = 6.5 where an orthorhombic phase disappears and the mean valence of the Cu atom is +2.0. An electrical resistivity anomaly at 7-x = 6.5 on the oxygen concentration dependence has been observed at the normal state.
