✦ Synopsis

Sulfenamide TS (N-cyclohexyl-2-benzothiazolesulfenamide), accelerator of rubber vulcanization, was administered to female rats by gavage at doses of 50, 150, and 450 mg/kg (l%, 3%, and 8% of LD50) during organogenesis. The maternal toxicity of Sulfenamide TS was found at the highest dose of 450 mg/kg. Oral administration of this compound to female rats during organogenesis induced fetotoxic effects at doses of SO mg/kg and higher. The dose-dependent increase in the frequency of fetusesfiitters with internal hydrocephalus was observed.
