โฆ Synopsis
Effect of Nitric Oxide Addition on the Stability
and Burning Velocity of Some Hydrogen-Oxygen-Nitrngen Flames on a Flat Flame Burner THE catalysi:; of the recombination of hydrggen atoms i)y nitric oxide has been studied by M. A. A. CLYm*~ and B. A. THRUSH ~,2 using a flow discharge system, and by E. M. BULEWlCZ and T. M. SUelmN '~-~, who investigated the catalysis of recombination of radical species in the burnt gas of hydrogen-oxygen-nitrogen flames at ~tmospheric pressure. ~Fbr hydrogen ~o.,n. s, catalysis was attributed to reactions (i) and (ii), but in flames reaction (iii) and possibly other reactions are also important.
