โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
Melt growth involves mass transfer in a heated fluid, and an analysis of this problem needs a knowledge of the thermal, concentration and other boundary conditions. The geometry of the crystal growing apparatus also has significant influence (Pimpatkar, Ostrach). The factors affecting the orientation in bismuth single crystals have been studied (Bhatt; Shah). In this communication results of the effect of the mode of crystal growth on the preferred orientation are presented.
