✦ Synopsis

In the spectrochemical analysis of chromium in high speed steels with a low current activated a.c. arc, the results of analysis were found to be affected by different previous heattreatments given to the steel samples. Since the micro-structure of the specimen is likely to vary from one sample to another in routine analysis we decided to study this effect more systematically.
