✦ Synopsis
We discuss the use of ( 1 + 1') resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI) with a time delay between the excitation and ionization processes as a method of probing intramolecular dynamics. In particular, we discuss the effect of these dynamics on photoelectron angular distributions (PADS). As a simple example, we present expressions for PADS following REMPI via an intermediate state that undergoes hypertine depolarization, and apply this to the A *Z+ state of nitric oxide.
