## Abstract Agonists of liver X receptors (LXR), members of the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily, alter secretion of proinflammatory cytokines, suggesting potential antiinflammatory effects. A synthetic LXR agonist inhibited Tβcell proliferation and cytokine release in a doseβdependent manner.
