The effect of thermal cycling on the transformation temperatures was investigated in TimNi alloys which were subjected to various types of thermo-mechanical treatments. In solution-treated specimens with various Ni-contents, the transformation temperatures were found to change with thermal cycling.
This study investigated the effect of ageing on the transformation behaviour of a Ti-50.9 at.% Ni alloy. Ageing at below 573 K was found to suppress the original A M M transformation. This phenomenon has not been recognized in the literature. The effect is ascribed to the lowering of B2 ordering of
## Abstract A series of experiments was carried out on Cu‐Ni 70/30 commercial alloy specimens presenting different microstructures. The microstructure of homogeneized specimens was modified with annealing treatments by which grain size significantly increased and intermetallic compounds precipitate
TiNi shape memory alloy (SMA) thin sheets with a thickness of 120 m were fabricated by the method of bonding and cold rolling and subsequent heat treatment of elemental Ti and Ni foils. The annealing temperature and time have been investigated with regard to their effects on the phase composites and
