The introduction of grid-turbulence in the free-stream flow resulted in a marked change of the vibrational response of tubes when placed in a single row and in some, only, of the two-row arrangements studied. A reduction of the maximum amplitudes was observed for the one-row arrays depending on the tube pitch and tube flexibility.
