β¦ Synopsis
The effect of fly-ash ftller in short glass fibre and random glass fibre reinforced epoxy resin were studied under tensile loading. The tows of fibre were continuously coated with epoxy resin prior to chopping into moulding pellets. The results show that the fracture properties of short and random glass fibre reinforced epoxy resin can be increased by filling fly-ash particles and coating of fibres.

## Abstract Dynamic mechanical properties of cured epoxy resin filled with mica flake, as twoβdimensional filler, were investigated over the temperature range from room temperature to 200Β°C. Two series of composite specimens were examined. One is series RM, containing illβoriented mica flakes, and
Barbituric acid (BTA) has a novel influence on glass transition temperature (T,) of bismaleimide (BMI) -epoxy resin systems. It causes the T, of a BMI-epoxy resin system to rise significantly. The BTA's influence on T, was investigated by changing the molar ratio of the reactants. In addition, the i
