✦ Synopsis

Susceptibility measurements on the singlet ground state dimer system Cs,Cr,Br, at low temperatures are used to predict the ground state behaviour in the region of a field-induced phase transition as T + 0. Results are compared with optical data.

High field magnetic effects, possibly associated with the population of higher spin states, are also reported.

We present some discussions on the ground state of the Hubbard model on the bipartite lattice with finite Coulomb interaction. Our theory is based on a graphical method. First we apply it to the ld Hubbard model and secondly we discuss the 2d Hubbard model.
