✦ Synopsis

The effect of d-amphetamine in combination with pentobarbital sodium, reserpine, chlorpromazine, meprobamate and chlordiazepoxide has been studied on spontaneous motor activity in male mice. d-Amphetamine together with CNS depressants produced a greater effect than amphetamine alone.

Dose-response relationships for onset, duration, and magnitude of 3-quinuclidinyl benzilate (QNB) on spontaneous motor activity (SMA) were studied in mice. QNB was administered SC immediately before 2-h test sessions in dose levels differing by a factor of 0.5 log (range 0.1-10.0 mg/kg). For the tot

The effect of the D2-antagonist raclopride was investigated in two test situations, which are presumed to involve dopamine (DA) transmission within the nucleus accumbens of the rat. Local injection of d-amphetamine sulphate (10 gg/0.5 gl) produced a marked increase in motor activity, measured as mot
