โœฆ Synopsis

Phosphorylation is a post-translational modification of proteins important for signal transduction and enzyme activity. Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) has served as an important tool in the identification of phosphorylation sites in many proteins. Enzymatic digestion and peptide mass mapping have been routinely used for this purpose, 1 -4 and MS/MS with collision-activated dissociation (CAD) has been employed to obtain unambiguous results. 5 -12 CAD-MS/MS of a peptide often yields a variety of fragment ions retaining either the N-

Under electrospray ionization conditions loganic acid undergoes alkali metal (Li, Na and K) exchange and alkali metal cationization. Multiple exchanges of up to four alkali metal ions are observed. Different populations of metal exchanged species are produced during electrospray ionization. Collisio
