โฆ Synopsis
Hydrodynamic characteristics of 31 sorts of spacers used for electrodialysis and the effect of their structure on mass transfer have been investigated. Under the same conditions, the critical Reynolds number (Re ) in the cell with spacer is about 50 times less than that in the empty cell, and the limiting current density (LCD) of the former is about 3 times that of the latter. The mesh step of spacer has an optimum value. In the same cell, the critical flow velocity (Vo,) for two-layer structure of spacer is less than that for one-layer, and the efficiency of electrodialysis for two-layer of spacer increeses obviously. It is important that the ratio of the spacer to the frame in thickness must be suitable, otherwise LCD may decrease more than 10s and a good result is not obtained.

Wenn das nicht gut gemacht wird, kann es sein, dass der Grenzstrom um mehr als 10 Prozent sir&t. Dabei hat man keine gute technologische Wirkung.
