✦ Synopsis

The recent theoretical work of Haug on finite size effects in superfluid helium films at low temperatures is extended to a variety of boundary conditions that can be imposed on the system. Comparison with experiment suggests that Neumann boundary conditions might be the most appropriate ones for the system in question.
