✦ Synopsis

With the January 1990 Issue of Biopolymers, the publisher has enlarged the Journal. This redesign has been undertaken in order to accelerate publication of manuscripts. The size and double-column format will allow us to include many more papers per issue, and thus serve our scientific readership with the most timely and up-to-date papers.

Murray Goodman Biopolymers remains committed to original for the Editorial Board manuscripts of the highest quality. It is because of our key position in the field that we have altered the presentation of the Journal. We look forward to being part of the exciting future for biophysical and bioorganic chemistry.

As part of our continuing policy of bringing our readers the most current information on the topics covered by Biopolymers, the editors have dedicated this issue to the 1st Naples Workshop on "Conformational Analysis of Peptides: Relationships and Interactions." The papers submitted were examined in
