✦ Synopsis
W e are delighted that the Canadian Journal Chemical
Engineering is serving as the vehicle for the dissemination of a showpiece of articles representative of the papers presented at the Symposium on Nanotechnologies Applied to Biosystems Engineering and the Environment that was held under the umbrella of XVIIth World Congress of CIGR, Québec City, Canada, on June 13-17, 2010. This topical symposium was dedicated to the aspects of nanotechnology applications for biosystem engineering and environmental systems.
The event lasted one day and gathered researchers from, France, Canada, Egypt, Iran, Brazil, Japan and China who presented 20 contributions on recent developments in the areas of nanotechnologies applied to biosystems engineering and the environment. The symposium was organised around three topics and was funneled in the format of 10 oral presentations, and 10 posters. Hence, the oral program along with the poster program was organised according to the following topics and subtopics:
