โœฆ Synopsis

This issue sees the retirement of Drs. Andrew G. Engel, David Pleasure, and Bhagwan T. Shahani as Associate Editors of Mucle &Nerve. It is with a great personal sense of indebtedness that I extend my official thanks to them for all of the hard work that they have undertaken over the last four years. Their activities have improved the review process for the manuscripts sent to MUsGle &Nerve. Their wise advice has resulted in a considerable improvement of the papers accepted for publication in Mucle &Nerve. I am pleased to say that they will remain on the Editorial Board of the Journal, and their counsel will continue to be available.

It is a pleasure at this time to welcome four new Associate Editors. Two have been elected by the American Association of Electromyography and Electrodiagnosis, namely, Drs. Jun Kimura and Austin Sumner. In fact, Dr. Kimura's term began with the completion of contract negotiations between AAEE and the Journal in the middle of 1986. The two other Associate Editors are Drs. Salvatore DiMaum and J. Murdoch Ritchie. All four Associate Editors bring great prestige to the Journal, and I am gratehl to them for accepting the responsibility of this position.

During their tenure, the Journal will move into its second decade and continue its steady growth.
