โฆ Synopsis
Last year the Wiley publishing house celebrated the 200 th anniversary of its foundation. The motto of Wiley "1807 -2007 Knowledge for Generations" is also an obligation for Crystal Research and Technology as an international journal examining all aspects of research in theoretical, experimental and industrial crystallography.
Several month ago we introduced the service of "Early view (articles online in advance of print)" for our journal. All accepted articles can be read online now in advance just after the refereeing procedure. The Early View articles are fully integrated within the Wiley InterScience platform. Every article is marked by an online publication data and a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for an early citation. We are sure that this Early View service makes the Crystal Research and Technology more attractive for both our readers and authors.
Starting with the first issue of 2008 our journal will have a new graphical layout. For each paper an abstract and one picture will always be shown in the index of contents. In addition, the cover picture will be changed every month. We hope that the new face of Crystal Research and Technology will attract attention of both our readers and authors. Furthermore, we have installed an "Online Sumission and Refereeing System". Starting from the submission of manuscripts, spanning over the refereeing procedure to their final publication, each step will be done fully electronically. This new platform considerably simplifies and accelerates reviewing of manuscripts and handling by the author as well as in the Editorial Office. We are absolutely sure that this makes the journal more attractive and the publication procedure faster than before.
