2010 marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of Geoarchaeology: An International Journal. Jack Donahue, then based in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh, was the founding editor and the first issue was published in January 1986 (Figure 1). Collaboration between geologi
