This issue is focused on a special themethe future of the human resource management field. Rather than discuss the highlights in each article or reflect on the themes in this set of manuscripts, I invite all of you to read the articles and encourage you take a close look at the concluding piece by Mike Losey, Susan Meisinger, and Dave Ulrich. These three have done a wonderful job pulling together the key points in this issue's articles.

We think you will find this issue of HRM particularly interesting because there are many different aspects of the future of HRM discussed by a diverse group of leading scholars and practitioners.
