Overview: Phillip Richards is a soldier serving in the British Army, and an avid fan of science fiction. He has served in the army for twelve years since enlisting as a 17 year old boy, and since having done so he has served on eight operational tours. This includes operations in Kosovo as a peacekeeper, the Iraq Invasion of 2003, and several tours of Afghanistan. During this time he has promoted through the ranks to sergeant and has spent two years instructing infantry recruits in North England.
