Lemuel Lyttle, who in his guise as Merlin, is the teen-aged hero dedicated to the protection of Lyttleton and its citizens. It falls to him to solve a most heinous crime, a kidnapping, or possibly a theft. Details are a bit hazy as far as Lemuel is concerned. But, if he fails, Lyttle Union will most assuredly lose the Friday Night football game, ruining the year, and casting doubt upon the future of the Hawks' seniors and their scholarship prospects. It's not really the sort of crime Merlin was trained to stop, but in a small town, crime is crime, and if you can't solve the little ones, what chance have you in solving the big ones?
