✦ Synopsis

The molecule of the title compound, C 20 H 23 PO 2 , displays an E configuration about the C C bond. The two phenyl rings are nearly perpendicular to each other with a dihedral angle of 80.09 (8) . Intermolecular O-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonding and stacking between parallel benzene rings of adjacent molecules, with a iperpendicular distance of 3.4928 (3) A ˚, help to stabilize the crystal structure.
