The new chiral selector 2 is synthesized from (2&4R)-hydroxyproline (1). 2 is used as a ligand in the synthesis of the copper(B) complex 3. X-ray investigations of the crystal structure of the model complex 3 are carried out.

The chiral selector 2 is synthesized from (all R)-1. 2 is used as a copper(H) complex for the impregnation of RP 18"TLC plates. The impregnated plates have been used in the TLC enantiomeric solution of racemic imino acids.
