Abstract
Treatment of terminal‐unsaturated sugars with stable aromatic nitrile oxides led to the expected Δ~2~‐isoxazolines, obtained as a mixture of two diastereoisomers epimeric at the new asymmetric carbon. One isomer (and in some cases both) has been isolated in a pure state. These compounds are potentially useful in the drug‐design of therapeutically active molecules.
