Effective 1 April 2003, British Vita plc paid $2.1 M cash to acquire Synco from Cognis (formerly Henkel). Synco makes colour and additive plastic masterbatches at Campo Bisenzio (near Prato, Italy). It has 28 employees and last year recorded sales of โ‚ฌ6 M. All the employees will be retained and the company's name will be changed to VTC Synco Srl.
