The pressure coefficient of the vibrational deexcitation of methanol molecules caused by collisions with NH 3, CO 2, SF 6 molecules and He atoms is measured by infrared-far-infrared double-resonance spectroscopy. Large coefficients are measured for those buffer gases which increase the output power
