It is shown that the shape of the field-modulated microwave-absorption signal in the mixed state of type-II superconductors reveals the field dependence of the flux-pinning parameters. Experimental data are presented for thin films of YBa2Cu3OT\_6 grown by the pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique
