Optical absorption, fluorescence and Raman spectra of 9, IO-dibromoanthracene have been studied as a function of pressure up to 10 GPa. Raman-active lattice phonons show an abrupt change at about 1.5 GPa which indicates a pressure-induced phase transition. Corresponding measurements of the opttcal a
