Results are presented on mixing and melting in single-layered Cu/Mo and Pb/Fe and multilayered Pb/Fe/Pb, AI/Cu/Fe and AI/Pb/Fe systems exposed to high-power ion beams (HPIBs) of nanosecond duration. Irradiation has been performed using 70% C + and 30% H + ions with energies 0.2-0.5 MeV and energy fl
