Abstract

Two previous schemes for the calculation of dynamic multipole polarizabilities of atomic systems, namely, a hydrodynamic analogy to quantum mechanics and a perturbation expansion of the energy in multipoles, follow also from the conventional time‐dependent perturbation scheme.
