✦ Synopsis

A systematic analysis of dynamic behavior of a model catalytic system that admits asymmetric solutions is presented. Bifurcation maps, showing the boundaries between characteristic solutions in the parameter plane, are drawn. Inhomogeneities are stable over a wide domain of parameters. Bifurcation diagrams of experimental space-averaged measurements in a distributed system are unlikely to reveal the true nature of the system.

The behavior of catalysts containing rhodium was evaluated in hydrotreating (HDT) reactions at 583 K and 5 MPa. The influence of the temperature and the nature of the activating agent were analyzed for the monometallic Rh/g-Al 2 O 3 catalyst in simultaneous hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of dibenzothiop

In this paper, an n-species strongly coupled cooperating diffusive system is considered in a bounded smooth domain, subject to homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions. Catalyst particles, smaller than the diffusion film thickness, in slurry reactors, can enhance the specific rate of absorption substantially over that in the presence of coarser particles, even when the reaction is sufficiently fast to occur in the fdm in the absence of catalyst particles. This is i
