✦ Synopsis
An extensive study is made on the dynamic behavior of an Ising system. The considerations are all within the framework of the Bethe or constant coupling theory. First, a set of master equations for the spin average and for the nearest-neighbor-correlation average is constructed. These equations are solved near the critical point for the relaxation from a non-equilibrium state and for an oscillating external field in the z-direction. The last part of the paper is concerned with the more realistic assumption that the field is in the x -y direction. In order to describe the influence of this perturbation the system is supposed to be slightly non-Ising, i.e. an anisotropic Heisenberg coupling with small but nonzero x -y component, as many actual systems are. A dynamic deviation from the critical temperature is found.
