In this paper a general boundary element formulation for the three-dimensional elastoplastic analysis of cracked bodies is presented. The non-linear formulation is based on the Dual Boundary Element Method. The continuity requirements of the field variables are fulfilled by a discretization strategy

✦ Synopsis
A new methodology for computing dynamic stress intensity factors in the frequency domain based on the mixed boundary element method, a combination of the equations corresponding to the integral representations of displacements and tractions, is proposed and analysed. The expressions of hypersingular fundamental solution are presented and their singular parts extracted. Also, a discontinuous Singular-Quarter-Point element is constructed. Finally, various parametric computations and applications are described in order to illustrate the simplicity and accuracy of the proposed method as applied to both static and dynamic problems. ?

The dierential quadrature (DQ) element method proposed by Wang and Gu in 1997 has been extended to analyse rectangular plate problems. The methodology is worked out in detail and some numerical examples are given.
The paper discusses the ÿnite element analysis of the superplastic forming of thick sheet components. The incremental formulation proposed is based on a geometrical approximation of the ow type of constitutive equations that describe the behaviour of the alloy during forming. The spatial discretizat
