AECOM awarded water treatment and reuse project
A ECOM Technology Corp has won a US$101 million design-build contract for a water and wastewater project in Davie, Florida.
AECOM Technology Corp will construct a 6 million gallon per day (MGD) brackish water membrane treatment plant as well as a 3.5 MGD membrane water reclamation facility. The project also includes a new utility office for the town, a series of five raw water wells, two deep injection wells and reuse of the reclaimed water. The project is scheduled for completion during 2013.
United Envirotech to design, build a wastewater recycling plant in China
U nited Envirotech Ltd has won a RMB30 million engineering, procurement and construction contract to build a wastewater recycling plant in Hegang City, China.
The 30 000 m 3 /day wastewater recycling facility will supply recycled water to the chemical plants based at the nearby industrial park.
"Recycled water is becoming a very important alternative water resource given the current water shortages, especially in the North Eastern China. A cost effective supply of good quality recycled water is vital to the fast growing industrialisation and it is beneficial to the government, local community and industries as a whole," said Dr Lin Yucheng, chairman and CEO of United Envirotech.
