✦ Synopsis

A duality is established between left and right ideals of a finite dimensional Grassmann algebra such that if under the duality a left ideal α‘£ and a right ideal J correspond then α‘£ is the left annihilator of J and J the right annihilator of α‘£. Another duality is established for two-sided ideals of the Grassmann algebra where two ideals that correspond are annihilators of each other. The dual of the principal ideal generated by an exterior 2-form is completely determined.

## dedicated to luis antonio santalo on his 87th birthday We consider a family of natural variational problems in the Grassmannian of a C\*-algebra with trace which can be considered as slightly degenerate Finsler metrics. We show that all these problems have as solutions the standard geodesics an

The associator is an alternating trilinear product for any alternative algebra. We study this trilinear product in three related algebras: the associator in a free alternative algebra, the associator in the Cayley algebra, and the ternary cross product on four-dimensional space. This last example is

## Abstract The myriad of side effects that associate with morphine has been problematic in the clinical use to manage moderate to severe pain. It has been the holy grail of the pharmacologists to develop a compound, or treatment paradigm that could retain the analgesic effect of the drug as elimin
