✍ Francisco M. García Olmedo; Antonio J. Rodríguez Salas 📂 Article 📅 1995 🏛 John Wiley and Sons 🌐 English ⚖ 822 KB

In this paper the structure of pretemporal algebra is used to study some aspects of temporal algebras and modal algebras. The paper contains a computational approach to finite temporal algebras and a general splitting theorem for finite temporal algebras.

Duality between sln(C) and the Degenerat
✍ Tomoyuki Arakawa; Takeshi Suzuki 📂 Article 📅 1998 🏛 Elsevier Science 🌐 English ⚖ 235 KB

We construct a family of exact functors from the Bernstein ᎐Gelfand᎐Gelfand category O O of ᒐ ᒉ -modules to the category of finite-dimensional representations of n the degenerate affine Hecke algebra H of GL . These functors transform Verma l l modules to standard modules or zero, and simple modules

Duality between Quasi-Symmetrical Functi
✍ C. Malvenuto; C. Reutenauer 📂 Article 📅 1995 🏛 Elsevier Science 🌐 English ⚖ 650 KB

The ring QSym of quasi-symmetric functions is naturally the dual of the Solomon descent algebra. The product and the two coproducts of the first (extending those of the symmetric functions) correspond to a coproduct and two products of the second, which are defined by restriction from the symmetric
