Abstract
A simple and novel antenna for dual band transponders in RFID application is introduced. The antenna is designed for directly matching a commercial chip without additional impedance matching network. The simulated and measured results of the proposed antenna show that the transponders integrated with this antenna will be able to comply with the ETSI Air Interface standard in UHF band and ISO 18000‐4 Air Interface Standard in microwave band. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
