A novel hybrid antenna structure that combines a rectangular dielectric resonator and a CPW-fed slot with tuning stub is proposed. The proposed antenna is designed to resonate at the lower (2.4 GHz) and upper (5.3 GHz) 802.11 WLAN frequency bands, respectively. Comparisons between the simulation and
