Diversa Corp has granted BASF a licence to a proprietary enzyme for the biocatalytic synthesis of a pharmaceutical intermediate. BASF will manufacture the biocatalyst and use it in one of its processes to synthesise a chiral intermediate. Manufacturing Chemist, Mar 2004, 75 (3), 18 Polyolefin catalyst supply agreement BP Petrochemicals and Nova Chemicals have entered into a longterm supply agreement with the polyolefin catalyst business of Grace Davison. It will produce Novacat T advanced Ziegler-Natta catalysts, which are available to worldwide customers via Nova Chemicals and BP's Innovene licensing business. The catalysts are for use in gas-phase PE plants.
