✦ Synopsis

The main theme of this meeting will be 'Drug utilization and quality of care' which will emphasize the importance of evaluating the outcome of prescribing.

The first day of the meeting will be devoted to describing and studying systems of monitoring prescribing and outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of quality of prescribing in addition to cost.

Keynote addresses and post sessions proposed for the meeting will allow for reports of ongoing cross-national research and working group sessions will initiate new research efforts. These
