✦ Synopsis
The application is presented of the correlations derived in a preceeding paper on drop formation at non-wetted capillaries in liquid-liquid systems.
The correlations predict the volume within an accuracy of cu. 15 per cent for all flow rates below the jetting velocity.
A criterion for the jetting velocity is presented and found to be fitting to the experiments. The criterion can be used as a limiting value in the computation programme for the drop volume.
The correlations can be applied for pe < -200 CP and 0.025 cm < di < 0.6 cm. Surface active agents and critical conditions such as extremely small density differences cause deviations.
