There were seven clans containing seven tribes on the dying planet of Annwn. Each tribe was protected by a dragon, solitary creatures condemned to an eternity alone for the sins of their king. An ancient prophecy proclaimed there would be born to each tribe a maiden, destined to awaken the long dormant desires of her tribes dragon. And now the prophecy was coming to pass.

But what did Uryen want with a maiden? He preferred his lonely existence, needed no comfort from weak, human arms. He was not an easy dragon. His fierceness would surely break one so fragile. He certainly had no need for the maiden Sippora. She was too delicate, too soft. How could one with such a tender and carefree heart hope to withstand a dragons heat?
