Lancé un suspiro, cerrando el volumen donde acababa de repasar aquellas frases escalofriantes de Van Helsing, debidas a la pluma del genial irlandés. Confieso que toda aquella parte final de la célebre historia, con el sacrificio terrible de los no-muertos, y la búsqueda decisiva del Rey-Vampiro, por parte de Van Helsing y Jonathan Harker, me la conocía casi de memoria, así como otros muchos pasajes del voluminoso relato publicado en 1897.
Recordé la primera vez que había leído la historia increíble del más famoso personaje de terror jamás creado, y sentí deseos de sonreír. Tal vez lo hubiera hecho, de no sentirme, por entonces, tan profundamente preocupado.
