✦ Synopsis
Accurate variational energies for even-parity core-exited 2p states in the Lithium series (Li I-C 1V) have been obtained by means of the superposition of correlated configurations (SCC) method. These cncrgies can serve as a timl basis for the theoretical interpretation and proper assi_mments of several 2Pe + 2Po transitions in lithium-like ions.
