✦ Synopsis

In this work, air-free aqueous solutions of ferrous sulfate and oxalic acid were tested as dosimeters in the case of irradiations at high dose rates and non homogeneous energy repartition. The extend of reaction is strongly dose-rate dependent. It seems that diffusion of the solute to the irradiated zone is the rate determining step. The tested solutions are thus no accurate dosimeters for the irradiations used in the present work.
