Sulfuration of 2,3-di-tert-butglthio-fumaratea with phoaphoruspentasuffide leads to 3H,6H-1,2-dithiolo14,3-cJ(1,2)-dithiol-3,6-dithione. Desulfuration gives the mono-thione and di-one, respectively.
